Andrews began studying painting and fine art at an early age and showed in his first juried exhibition at the age of thirteen. He continued to study through his undergraduate education and completed a BFA in painting among other undergraduate and graduate degrees in other disciplines including history, economics and journalism.

Andrews however did not follow his muse to paint professionally until recently.
He spent the years between his early work and present as an executive in the computer industry where he is still active as CEO of a professional services company focused on the banking / financial services industry.

Andrews is now painting ferverently -- translating his life experiences from working and living around the world including most recently Japan into a new body of work that is the evolution of his unique vision, creative depth and multi-cultural savvy.
